Jo Hyun Jae’s award-winning moments: 42nd Baeksang Arts Awards, 2006 (Part 2 of 3)

Here are pictures of Jo Hyun Jae from the 42nd Baeksang Arts Awards held on April 14, 2006.  JHJ won the Most Popular Actor award for his excellent portrayal of Seo Dong/Jang/King Mu in the SBS drama Seo Dong Yo”.

Can you see the necklace JHJ is wearing under his fancy shirt?  According to everjohyunjaeKorea’s “sunwoo”, that is designed by everjohyunjaeJapan’s “kikue” in December 2005 and hand-delivered to JHJ by “sunwoo” in January 2006.   That JHJ wears this necklace on such an important occasion shows how much he appreciates his fans’ gifts.

My comments: JHJ looks so perfect during this event – his hair, his clothes… everything just perfect!

  2. after see this post… I see the hair style is the same when he filming the first-second episodes of Only You in Italy.. which mean its around 2006. So, the rest episodes… may be filmed before it, referring to the hair style which same as the previous post when Hyun Jae won award in 2005. Am I right?

    • OY cast and crew filmed the Italy scenes in May 2005 as per an article I translated (link below).

Only You: Jo Hyun Jae captures the attention of aggressive Italian women

I think in the 6-years-later scenes in OY JHJ’s hair was styled to make him look older to show the passage of time. I think his real hairstyle is the one he sported in the Italy scenes and the one he sported during this awards show.

In the 2005 awards show, JHJ was over-styled (both hair and clothes), which made him look much older than his real age. In an interview a few years ago (2012 I think) JHJ said that in his early years as an actor he wasn’t that conscious about fashion so he would just let the stylist decide his look.
